Impulse to buy... too strong... constant thoughts of P229... unable to stop...
Ahhhhhhh!!

I just bought a SIG P229 SAS, apparently I was the 3rd caller this morning (and they hadn't even opened yet)

Ugh...
Now I need to sell stuff :p

P.S. I already got confirmation that these pistols are IPSC Production OK'd since the barrels are from the factory :)

Is it a DAK?

Got DAK?
Hehehe... yes, indeed it is. I can hardly wait.

not mine, this great photo was taken from http://www.praxagora.com/lunde/sigs.html

Question about the item listing :

04977 Sig Sauer P229SAS, Dak

Can this be bought as a P229 DAK sans SAS ? or is it a combo SAS,Dak ?

Thanks.

Ok...

Arrived today... the pics I took don't do it any justice so I am just going to post one for now.

All I have to say is the pistol reeks of quality and detail - I am a very anal guy and I could not find a single flaw on the thing. not a srcratch... not a blemish... not an area where a little anodizing didn't get to or was too thin... This is as close to a perfect pistol as I have seen yet.

It fits surprisingly well and the slide release was designed by the good lord himself. This is my first SIG so I never new what I was missing until today.

I am extremely pleased with it... I am still in awe.

oh~

The trigger...

The trigger is pretty cool!! The hammers natural position is a half-cocked position. The trigger pull is like a very long Glock pull when fully released, or a short smoothed revolver pull from the shorter reset position.

Hard to explain, but I like it - very acceptable for what it was designed for (concealed carry).

The pistol feels like a smoothed out bar of soap... not rough edges anywhere, yet the grip is excellent (the stippling/checkering is just right!)

Ok enough... I am babbling like a schoolgirl... here she is:

more pics to come in the future... ;)
