Can we get this as a restricted rifle?? Looks like SIG USA is selling it as a complete rifle with stock as an item in the legion line.

IIRC the Rossi circuit judge was classified as a handgun even though it had a stock and 18" barrel because it uses a handgun receiver. Seems like the same precedent would apply in this case. But somehow the Thompson/Center Encore has frt entries as both a rifle and handgun while they share the same receiver. So really there is no rule or reason you can expect these guys to follow.

How about we just get the pistol version without the FCU? That was existing P320m owners can swap out the FCU and voila, away we go.

There is no reason that shouldn't be possible. None of the PARTS of a P320 are banned, just the FCU. You can still buy P320 grips and barrels and slides after all.

The crux is whether it would be classified as a new design or not. New designs must be designed to hold less than 5 rds.
