Because everybody and his neighbour is making AR's,
SIG Sauer said that they want to enter the already overcrowded market:

Upper receiver assemblies will be sold. Just before anyone gets their hopes up, while it is likely that Sig will sell civilians models, this has not been confirmed.

Lol, Troy Ind must be running on gold, every AR manufacturer and his dog has a product from them bolted on their guns.

It will come in about 20 versions of the same rifle but all of them will have a beavertail and rail. The old guard will moan about the good old days of mattal foregrips.

That's a Lancer L5 in the pic. Better than Pmags, IMO.

Heaven forbid you get Deet on the magazine, though... terminal failures follow.

And Sig's got nothing new. Their pistols have decreased in quality in recent years, what with their picking up that Kimber fellow, who then "diversified" the product like to the point of overpopulation. Too many different models, not enough quality control.

Thanks for coming late to the game, though, Sig. Worry less about a part of the AR market share with your aftermarket part frankengun, and worry more about QC and customer service, both of which have decreased recently.

Brad

I wonder if it is US made or European made? Actually I guess I'm more curious whose export restrictions (if any) we might have to worry about...
