Looking at the Sig Cross in 16in .308…. Does anyone have one that can comment on bolt smoothness, accuracy, reliability, compactness etc…. That say it folds to a small package that makes it a great pack rifle in the woods is the main purpose for it. And possibly push it to 6-800 yards.

Any input will help due to the cost of the rifle…

I have one, for the weight, features and price point, there is no other factory rifle comparable.

The fix by Q is $5000, way better fit and finish, but that should be obvious given the price tag

Can someone comment on the 6.5 with that short of a barrel?

Does accuracy hold at range? I feel that round wouldn’t stabilize yet? Could be way off but interested to hear what owners say

Yes I do get submoa with 168 gr sierras in my relatively careful handloads. I cannot recall the powder load, but it is quite a rifle. With modern powders the velocity is quite good for the shorter bbl.
It has a bit of recoil to it, (I do not run a brake) so be careful of a scope bite if you snuggle forward a bit on the stock.

Clearly you’re forgetting the Christensen MPR, which is leaps and bounds better than the sig in every way, and I’ve owned both.. only own one still.. care to guess which?

I paid 2800$ for my 16” fully carbon .308 MPR. Stainless steel versions are cheaper… what’s the sig worth these days.. 2400??? Definitely not the best bang for your buck lol not to mention all the problems the sigs had.

I already have a chassis rifle in 6.5…. The sig is a simple compact design perfect for the land. So far I am seeing you guys getting sub moa, good news….

You can find the black version for around $2100.

$3200 back in 2020, half pound heavier. I would rather have the Sig or spend more and get the fix.
