I'm having a bit of a problem with my Sig .45 Stainless Carry.

When I fire the last round out, the slide stop doesn't engage and hold the action open. Sometimes it does, most of the time it doesn't. I've tried cleaning it, and, examining the action, and tried 3 different magazines, and, every time I seem to be getting the same problem.

The gun is relatively new, and has little to no wear on it... The slide stop looks to be in good condition. Is this a noted problem with this shorter style of pistol? Is it 100% the slide stop, after 3 magazine tests? If so, what do people recommend for a replacement?

I did a forum search and didn't seem to find much information on THIS type of gun, so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Check your grip. I had a simalir problem with my 226. Couldn't figure out why the slide would never lock back while shooting but would when pulling the slide back manually with an empty mag in it. Turns out my thumb placement was right on top of the mag release. It doesn't take much to keep the slide stop from catching.

X2 about the only thing my sig is fussy about.

I just had this issue with my Tacops. Grip adjustment made all the difference.

I once owned a similar pistol and had the same problem.I even had Sig send me a new slide stop and it was no better.I ended up trying one out of a Colt and the problem went away immediately..
