SIG short reset trigger

I read great stuff about graygun "short reset" trigger job. People crave it and it's said to be much better (Smoother, crisper, no creep at all) than Sig's SRT. Problem is, they don't serve Canadian customers "yet". I asked them a few months ago, they are considering it, but with all the laws and stuff, it's a pain and probably not worth the hassle for the market share they would get...

The SRT kits were available in the states for a short time to the general population! Then as with all good things, liabilities became an issue and they were taken off the market and if you wanted an SRT installed you had to send you pistol back to SIG to have one of thier armourers install it...this is all according to the guys on sigforum. I can however confirm that they were avaiable at one time as I was able to get one!

Sorry this is a bit confusing So is it possible to send a regular P226 from Canada to SIG and have them install an SRT? If it is possible, with all the red tape how long would if be before the pistol was returned?

The Sig short reset trigger (SRT) is great. I have been really impressed with the reset. This is an asset to sport shooting and there is no 'creep' as was commented earlier. The trigger pull is absolutely the best Sig trigger and I've fired stock triggers on many other Sig pistols extensively.

I'm really glad I've had a chance to try this as I'm officially a convert.

Tim.

Sure, you can send a pistol to the states/SIG for the conversion...I personally wouldnt do it cuz Im not sure Id ever get the pistol back due to the border BS...but theoretically it can be done!

I read on Sigforum that any gunsmith can get the kit. There should be a way to order those parts... I'm working on importing some, will post what I get...
