I have a P229SAS which I love... however it never fit me "just right."
Because I love this gun I was determined to make it fit...
First I ordered some new hammer springs (19#) from Wolf thinking the trigger was just too heavy; it helped, but it still didn't feel right.
Next I ordered some plastic grip panels to replace the wooden ones (this broke my heart as the wood was why I got her) and again it improved the feel, but it still wasn't right.
I did some reading on some forums and learned a little about the "SIG ARMS SHORT TRIGGER." I didn't understand what it was until I saw pics. It's basically a trigger which has a lot of the metal removed on the face of the trigger so that people with Medium sized hands (myself) aren't stretching for that long, uncomfortable DA pull. This is a factory SIG part (not aftermarket).
I ordered one 2 weeks ago and it came today, I just finished installing it and...
WOW!!!
Needless to say I re-installed the ###y wood grips and in conjunction with te 19# hammer spring this gun is now dreamy.
So... anyone out there in CGN land with a SIG and WOOD grips (or plastic if you have small hands) I highly recommend the Short trigger!!
I ordered mine through Brownells and the price is good. If I could rate upgrades/modifications - The SIG Short Trigger gets a 5/5 from me
I am so happy about this part that I had to post~
~Cheers
P.S. I will be up at POCO this weekend if anyone wants to check it out
I'll let you shoot a few (bring your own .40S&W ammo if you want to run through more)

and with SA/DA trigger I don't need the short trigger which kinda look wierd on the SIG. I would get Hogue rubber grips but they make the grip a bit fatter...
