Hey everybody, if you're Ontario hunters then chances are you've heard of Earthroots (unfortunately). They're the Ontario group that wants to ban all hunting, ATV-ing, rock climbing, etc. Their website is www.earthroots.org but I managed to snag www.earthroots.ca .

Please check it out and join my forum to piss off some hippies, or post some of your hunting stories in the forum to make 'em mad. I've already gotten a mad response from some leftist magazine in Toronto (NOW Magazine) and I'm hoping to piss off some more hippies. Enjoy!

Well, it was pretty stupid of those posters to lay their cards out on the table.....
If those guys hunt like they bait hippies, both the game and the hippies are pretty safe!
 
Musky nailed it... you are not a hunter... this is not a good idea.. and I regret even looking at your stupid and inflammatory site.
This is not doing hunters or the sport of hunting any good at all. It only casts us all in a bad light and fuels the antis fires... stupid beyond belief.
You are not part of my hunting community.... I would be ashamed if you were.
 
The wolf hunting story is quite obviously fake, and only a stupid college hippy who was dumb as #### would believe it... the idea is to piss them off. Most who read that story don't believe it but I imagine a few really stupid hippies do. Can someone explain how this is fuel for the antis if no reasonable person would believe any of it is true?

I liked the concept from the starting thread but when I saw the site it went all down hill. OFAH member? Why would a member of a provincial hunting association who had any ethics post crap like that, definitely a bait.

I understand it'll piss them off, but my point is that no reasonable person (the people they're trying to target with their campaigns to get support for their causes) would believe that this story had any truth to it, so while I accomplish the pissing off of hippies, I don't bother reasonable people.

Any intelligent person who reads it knows the story's fake, but to an uneducated member of Earthroots they think it's true. I purposefully made the story ridiculous enough that only an idiot (i.e. Earthroots member) would believe it.

I wouldn't have necessarily thought it was fake if you didn't say so. You provide a reason for every single bad detail in the story. Basically, it sucks.

why would "I" assume the story to be fake, you shot them with a .17 rimfire and it took the wolves 45 minutes to die. That is reasonable to assume given the caliber and poor shot placement, clubbing the pups is also something that has been done in the past by trappers and such.

the only thing to make any person believe the story is false is the part of eating the pup's and how tender they where. up to that point the story is believable to the majority of people including hunters.

the whole web site sickens me, your promoting hunting in a bad light and frankly I think your an idiot as well..... your surely not doing the hunting community any favors with your inflammatory website.

Would you be happier if I change it to .50 and said that it is one of the smaller hunting calibers? I'm assuming Earthroots doesn't know the difference in calibers, but I said .17 as I'm sure a few might know the difference.

I'm not attempting to promote hunting in a bad light, I'm attempting to shock those who try to go to the Earthroots website and instead get one of what appears to be a real ####### who stands against everything that a person visiting the Earthroots website would believe.
