Well, finally got back to the reloading bench today, set everything up as per usual, and low and behold, all the dies I was using before preformed flawlessly, weird, but not complaining.
Yep, I know, it’s been just a hair over four months since I was here last time, that four letter word (work) can sure get in the way of life sometimes. LOL
I was at Cabelas yesterday and saw the Lee Ultimate die set for the 308Win, and remembering that I was having trouble last time with the dies I had on hand from before, decided to grab the Lee set just in case. Go figure, too funny.
So now that I have my brass sized, sorted by weight, and flash holes uniformed, it’s time to figure out what powder to use with 150grain bullets (interlocks), using my compact 18” barrel for these loads.
I see some 748, Varget, IMR4350, Hybrid 100V, IMR 3031, sitting in the cupboard, thought there was some IMR4895 and IMR4064 somewhere.
What do you folks fancy with with the 150’s
Thank you again for your time and effort’s earlier, best regards and hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.
Edit; one thing I did do was purchased a Hornady #1 shell holder for the Hornady dies instead of using a Lee shell holder with the Hornady dies. But that’s about all I did, still pulled both sizer dies (RCBS & Hornady) apart and cleaned them inside, put them back together as per instructions, set them in the presses as per instructions, just like four ago, and look at that, they worked as they should. Happy camper here.
