So, the hoped-for SK Long Range Match I'd put in for came in and sold out before the local supplier got to me, thanks buddy, and I've been dying to try this ammo for quite a while now. Much as I hate shipping costs, does anyone know of someone in Canada who's actually selling it?

The main ammo dealers get their SK and Lapua through the Canadian distributor, Hirsch Precision. When the shipment arrives in Canada, it's in one large amount, which in turn is sent to the dealers. Tesro sold out of LRM within 24hrs of announcing it arrived. Target shooting products is a great place to deal with, albeit their website isn't the best - call Peter and he'll get you sorted.

BUT I might ad that the barrels they use for testing may not match your barrel
that is not only the fun of it but helps explain why cheaper ammo SOMETIMES performs better in your rifle

This makes for interesting reading, but for whatever odd reason does not align with the group size comparison on target.
In my case the Standard Plus proved the most accurate... which is not what should be the case.
I keep trying the others expecting either the long range match or rifle match to shoot better, but they never do.
Maybe just lot luck.

Started with SK Long Range Match not knowing my 457 would be really accurate with this ammo, but didn’t buy enough not know how good or bad it would work in the .22. I picked up RWS and that has proven to be quite accurate also. You may want to give that a try.
No surprises here. As noted, the "better" grades may not necessarily always outshoot the lesser ones. Your next lot of S+ might shine or suck or be somewhere between. Overall, it's fair to say that SK ammo will not always be consistent from box-to-box, let alone lot-to-lot.
On another note, will you be shooting the 100 yard challenge?
I did get some RWS Rifle Match this spring and found it to be pretty good indeed... and having saved 25 or so rounds I now believe I have the last in the city, or at least the last that will do me any good. My latest find was RWS Club Master but I haven't tried it yet. I'm mindful though that any ammo with the word 'club' in it is probably signalling that it's strict second rate, lol.
People keep saying this, but after paying top dollar to get a brick delivered, it performs worse than SK Standard Plus for me.
All I can say is with rim fire there are no absolutes. Just buy it and try it and go with what works best for you.

I might, you never know. I don't generally take time to do things like that, I'm so busy with other things these days.
My buddy where I shoot most of the time has been real busy with a couple weddings and major projects this summer so I have not wanted to distract him from that. There's also a couple F Class matches coming up so I'll try and focus on center fire going into the fall.

Rimfire shooters looking for best accuracy performance should never rely on what people are saying about a certain variety of .22LR match ammo. No make or variety of ammo comes with a performance guarantee.

Well as matter of fact I highly doubt many have ever seen you compete. Yet you constantly question anyone with an opinion other than yours! Well where the mosquitos are the size of hummingbirds I highly doubt you get out much. No doubt you know how too shoot, but so do many on this site, your belligerence towards others that know what their speaking of is really draining. Youve actually questioned members on here owning guns that theyve spoken of yet you talk about all kinds of rifles that youve never owned. Oooh I read on RFC this and that and heres the link. ZZZzzzz. Some of us have computers also. Welcome to 2022. Some of us actually own the guns you run down and speak of without ever shooting or owning one. Targets can be hit with accuracy beyond 100 yards with a rimfire, not that youd ever know with such a closed mind. Just because they dont go through the same hole does not make them unaccurate. Go see Yannick or Tony Norman or Matt Hui or Steve Barks or the many others. Not that thatll ever happen
You're not alone, my friend. Fellows at my club have had some remarkable results with selected lots of Center X and Pistol King. I have never found a lot number of either that worked for me in any 22LR that I own.
