No problem ordering Skinner sights from the States, Andy is great to deal with. I might balk at $200, but with our dollar where it is relative to the USD, its not a surprise.
An aperture receiver sight, particularly when combined with a wide square post front sight, is better than a semi-buckhorn/bead sight arrangement in every way. Its faster since you ignore the rear sight and just put the front sight on the target, then shift you focus to the front sight, rather than attempt to line up the front and rear sight with the target. The sight radius with a receiver sight is longer, so more precise than an open sight mounted mid-barrel. The flat wide top of a rectangular front post is akin to a cross hair, in that the flat top is analogous to the horizontal wire, and the human eye easily discerns the center of the post which is analogous to the vertical wire. A round bead offers no index of elevation, and a bead tends to block out a large amount of the target, leaving so the shooter to guess what the center of the sight covers.
