SKS and CZ58 appearances in the movies...

Loved the movie, but didn't love the fact that they were using Commiefornia friendly SKS's that had the bayonets removed....

Kinda killed some of the realism for me..... but then again, maybe bubba lives in Cambodia too...

There is one shot in that movie where there is an SKS that still has it's bayonet attached but other then that, I totally agree with you. Would have looked way better if they left all the bayonets on.

The movie "Rescue Dawn" has almost nothing BUT the SKS and a few AK-47.
Great film. Check it out.
Here is a pic of Christian Bale in that movie. Look what gun he's holding.

I'll put it on my watch list.

Right now I'm watching LOST, so I'll keep eye on SKSes there. They have few cheapo AK there already.

There is one Movie Central plays now movie from Kazachstan title "Tulpan" The sheep farmer has SKS always hanging in his tent

sks behind reba in tremors, not sure if it was used, one of the coolest scenes in movie history...

Yes, he did break into the wrong Gawd-damn rec room. And no, it didn't get used even when it made another appearance in Tremors 3, Back to Pefection.

It's neat to watch the series of movies and see how Micheal Gross as Burt Gummer gets more proficient at handling firearms. I almost bust a gut at Tremors 4 when we find out Burt Great-great-grandfather Hiram is very squeamish at the idea of handling a gun.

Olimpius Inferno / Олимпиус Инферно (Часть 1) this movie is about war in Georgia 2008, good movie. Last seen shows how farmer shoots Georgian Officer SKS is used as a rifle.
I have seen lots of Russian movies SKS hardly seen in hands of soldiers always civilians or hunters

80's spy movie "The Amateur", a Canadian film, filmed mostly in Ontario, about a CIA analyst whose wife (fiance? I forget), gets killed in a hostage taking and he goes out looking for revenge, comlicated by the fact that he blackmails the CIA into letting him, and it turns out that the bad guy is a CIA informer. Not a bad movie!

...anyway, the female terrorist uses a VZ-58 in the hostage scene.

One of the best shows ever!!!

Arrested Development!

The Iraqi's are using VZ58s while being trained by American personnel.

^ pretty sure this was from the movie 'The Kingdom'

Also pretty sure that when they are rampaging through the apartment building looking for their buddy Jamie Fox has an 858 that seems to have unlimited ammo.
