SKS AR magwell conversions

We have installed dozens of our AR-SKS mag adapters, they have all worked flawlessly. You be the judge of how much fun they are....

I tried our mag conversion out the other day and it worked well.

I does take patience and some tweaking to get it done right, but it can be done and it is very satisfying to see everything working in the end.

We are testing a couple of changes to make the installation a bit easier before we start the production run. Will keep everyone posted ...

You bet, we have installed them in just about every stock we carry, Archangel, Tapco, Timbersmith, ATI, Kicklite, Choate ETC....

Another question, is this mod reversible or you guys file down some parts on the receiver?

All of these conversions require removing metal from the rifle in a few places -- reversible means you can still use the original magazine but the rifle is permanently bubbafied.

I think the question was "who has installed one" and I presume it was a call out for the "amateur" gunsmith ne c'est pas?

This particular SKS is already bubbafied by Molot export trades so I think I'll go for even more bubbafication :)

Yes, we remove metal from the receiver & a few other parts, but you can still convert back to stock. You can also use any detachable mags still, but now the benefit is, you can now remove & install with the bolt closed due to the bolt mod!

Hey MagWedge - what mags are useable with the texas adapter? Also is that $139 for the part or does it include the install? You are welcome to PM if you wish.

Yes $139.95 is for the parts only and a pretty fair deal I think, considering what others have asked.

Installation seems to be around $200 all by itself although I haven't decided what our installation fee will be as yet.

I imagine many dealers will be offering the service for the adaptors they stock.

I've got hical's version here. Got my gunsmith to modify the rifle (a pre-bubba'ed SKS, but with good bore!) Still have to make it to the range for function report. Can't wait :)

Here it is, dressed up according to my sons' taste...

And while at it, I decided to make myself a "lefty" - a left handed SKS, 'cause, well, I'm left handed. Feels weird having the proper hand work that bolt carrier!

How do we get away with having a ten round mag in our centre fire semi auto rifle with out getting in legal crap!!??

I just explained this concept to my uncle in alberta when visiting two weeks ago, if you are not aware my friend, then there is lots of info for you in this forum or by using googlefu ! :) ...he didn't believe me either but he likes a good bolt or pump with controlled round feed he does :p but he took me through a few of the shops in Edmonton... P&D , Milarm and Sebarm , all were great stores with great people! ...but i asked those guys to explain the legality of it to him and it made him a believer ..not that he's interested but still..learn something new everyday right
