Hello,
Hoping for some help completing the stock change on my SKS. I originally posted my question in the gunsmithing forum, but it was suggested to ask here instead.
Here is the post:

TLDR: I have a Russian SKS (1945), I've purchased an ATI Monte Carlo stock, the bottom change went no problem, but I can't get the ferrule pin out of the handguard. I've read that it might need to be drilled out and replaced, Lever Arms (where I purchased it from) also believes this is the case.
Should I order a proper SKS replacement pin, or can you get something from the local hardware store (as has been suggested)
Thanks.
