YES! FINALLY! An SKS stock that isn't just a stupid AR/SCAR wannabe shell. If I had the know how and equipment, I would have made something very similar to this ILS. Except I would have went with the factory magazine route because I actually like stripper clips and I'm not a high speed low drag operator operating in multiple operating operations. The SKS is a very slim, simple and reliable rifle that is terribly under appreciated and slandered because of all the garbage accessories out there. This is a step in the right direction. I hope the nylon lasts, though. I know they're susceptible to UV and can break down or something like that.

Lots of talk but no pics. Here's one.
The area around chamber/rear site needs the stock to cover it. Anyone firing more than a few rounds who grips it forward of the mag well is going to get hot hands, fast.
Would be better as one piece as well, with the recoil lug assembly/cross bolt built in. Tension on the stock helps with accuracy.
Otherwise it's neat. I just don't get the desire to turn everything into an AR-15
Why does everyone who doesnt "Get" or doesnt "like" a new product automatically say its stupid or a waste. You do all realize that many things YOU thing are great, other people think are stupid or pointless as well right.
This is whats wrong with Canadian gun owners. Instead of supporting a guy working so hard with so little resources to bring something new to market in canada... something NON RESTRICTED... %40 of us just knock him down. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. You don't HAVE to get this or even like it. But you SHOULD be giving him alot of credit and encouragement for doing something no one else has done (or at least done RIGHT IMO)... stop tearing each other down.
Personally, I LOVE this idea. I really do. Im a hardcore operator who absolutely MUST have the most tacticool stuff available. Because I am awesome. (cough). Seriously though, I love black rifles. I love how they look, I love how they feel... I really like the SKS but hate its ergonomics stock and have yet to find an aftermarket stock that fixes them to my liking. I also don't like being limited to 5 rounds when there are better options out there. This is, hands down, the best solution to every current SKS related problem.
With that said, I wouldn't buy one in any kind of polymer. Id buy one in aluminum... even for $700... but not in polymer. I say keep working on this... your doing GREAT. Get it to the point where it works as you want it to and see about building some aluminum ones. You could even look at doing a group pre-purchase here on CGN if you did become a paying member. I bet you could get a large number of people willing to pay in advance for an aluminum version once you have a proven, working prototype. As a guy who pre-paid for the T97 LHG and was willing to wait MONTHS before it was ready, I would certainly be willing to pay for this in advance.

Seems they have a USA counterpart/parent (possibly). Makes me wonder about the need to source crowdfunding to keep costs down. USA company has some other SKS options, and notes affiliation with the Canadian branch on their (USA) page.
Something about grinding too far on a receiver and leaving part of a round unsupported. Says no out of battery detonation occurred. Dunno about damage.
The potential to eliminate the SKS's inherent out- of- battery protection is strong in a design that uses the AR-15 trigger group, a concern you raised with my build, as I recall. Given Pearce's obvious dearth of knowledge about the SKS platform, or firearm design in general, it wouldn't surprise me if he blew up one. It would surprise me if it did much damage to the receiver, however.
(edit: really, this is the guy who boasted that his design would accept both AK and STANAG magazines, until he had a prototype printed and tried to fit an AK mag! The 7.62x39 AR Mags are notorious jam-o-matics anyway, if his hammer was set too low relative to the bolt carrier... boom. Nylon everywhere.

Crazy. if this is true, hopefully Pearce is alright! dangerous stuff to be tampering with all just to achieve a forward mounted trigger position. I like modifying SKS rifles too, but when it comes to this,.... im just like forget it, just buy a VZ haha
There is a world of difference between being able to draw something in a CAD program, and knowing what to draw. Obviously I don't agree with the "just buy a VZ" sentiment, since a drop-in trigger forward system for the SKS has become my passion. I'm not willing to say it shouldn't be done. I just wouldn't buy a Pearce Armoury chassis before I got a few key questions answered
The problems are that, 3D printing is nice, and it's great to have dreams but random people pretending to experts and gun manufacturers scare me. I can see building a stock, but when you're actually a danger to people by messing around with things you can only assume you know and have no expertise in, it makes for a dangerous combo.

Yeah the only way to do it that I can see would be the way you did in your custom build. I'm not sure how else you could safely do it.
So, he got carried away with the idiotic "feed ramp mod" that neophytes use to fix their rounds nosediving under the chamber, and thinks that's why he had an out-of-battery? (i'm following the reddit sub-forum too) There's certainly the potential for that to occur, and it again indicates a lack of exposure to the platform, but I'm a little surprised that he hasn't at least communicated an intention to address the out-of-battery issue somehow
An aside to anyone planning to do the "feed ramp mod" DON'T. Your magazine is sitting too low in the magazine well, at least at the nose of the feed path. If an SKS magazine is fitted correctly, the rounds should be pointing straight into the chamber
