I could never find exactly what I wanted, so I began researching the dimensions of the SKS and learned that I could integrate what I wanted to it, if I created an all-new chassis. It was then that I started Pearce Armoury to develop modern technology solutions for the SKS rifle.

Beyond the functional improvements, the ILS chassis also improves serviceability. The chassis features a Tri-Rail fore stock that stay permanently attached to the rifle. With the removal of two pins, the entire lower can be dropped (similar to the AR design). Pull one rear pin, and the whole rifle opens up for cleaning. This makes the ILS-modified SKS incredibly easy to field strip and clean.
