Is that what it is? Yes mine came with a textured finish, much different that my blued SKS.

Here is mine finish is pretty average wood has some scratches and dings. There is no paint on either mine or the one my friend got [hes on vacation so no pics from him]. The quality of the stock on his was much better no noticeable wear. Regular refurbish marks #########X on stock.

Received this morning and I couldn't be happier with it! Nice and clean looking SKS. Can't wait to get it outside and run some of that ammo through it..

Some of these rifles/parts may have seen service they are old rifles.

Mine arrived within a week; definitely a refurb; non-chrome lined barrel; good overall condition.

Canpar was good; packaging OK at best - rifle packaged in about a basic tiny box as you can get. The bolt was sticking straight out and up. Must have been the excitement of seeing me.
