I am thrilled to have a present in the mail. I did some horse trading and ended up getting and early chinese SKS in good working order and also a NIB never fired and still in "grease" SKS-D. It is complete in the box as new with spare mags as well!!!!!!! Now to clean her up and put her to work when it warms up!!!

The bottom SKS had 2 inches added to the stock and a b square mount. I do not like either so a full mod will be happening on her. I want to mess with teh sights, optics, mount, stock, thread for a nice muzzle break. I have a draganov custom stock I am talking to a local guy about making for me. THe SKS-D I am wanting to shot but am a bit torn as to leave her alone but that is like parking a Ferarri in hte garage and staring at it, its just EFFIN wrong. Any mods to the SKS-D will be fully reversable since they are not common but far from rare.

I sure wish i had one, mabe someday. Thats a real nice D model, and to find it still in the grease is just awsome. Maybe someday norinco will run them agian.

Hmmmmm drum mag. The mag will not lock into the gun right without relieveing the magwell so I am on the fence about touching the gun to do so. If the gun was used or in a bit rougher condition I would do it but will have to sleep on doing anything to the stock. I may get another stock and releive it, hmmm I think I am on to something......hahaha

15 careful minutes with the dremel tool and it will be ready to take drums. Looks like one of the 2004 production ones that were sold in 2005 for the princely sum of 199 bucks. In hindsight I should have bought 20 of them...
