Hi,
I just got a Weaver scope mount for my SKS, the one that replaces the dust-cover at the back.....
I am aware that it doesn't perfectly hold zero, but for my red dot, shooting corrosive ammo under100 yards, it will be just fine.
I was also aware that I will have to make it fit on my Russion SKS, how did you guys file it down. Power tool or traditional files? I have a bench grinder and a dremmel tool, but no larger hand files for that kind of task.
The other tip I could use, I removed the pin to replace the hand guard at the gas tube. The pin came out pretty good, took me just a few minutes with a punch. It's bent a bit now, can I reuse this pin or do I have to replace it? Where would I get a new one?
Thanks,
Kylo
