SKS ergonomics

I find it too short. I put a 1" rubber pad on the butt end and I find it comfortable now.

I use the 1" rubber spacer too, it solves the length of pull problem. The grip still feels like a pick handle, though. On Chinese SKS rifles I've owned I reshaped the grip to improve it but I'm going to leave my Yugo un-bubbaded so I'll just have to put up with it.

SKS Ergonomics -safety catch

I find the stock too short, fixed by going to the ATI stock. My continuing issue is with the safety lever. It cuts into my trigger finger. Has anyone worked out a solution?

First time I have ever heard of this.

I'd have to see how you are holding the rifle, and how your trigger finger is placed, but to me it sounds like the new set up is not fitting yet.

Was the safety lever like this with the original stock?

My 59/66 fits me like a proverbial glove, maybe I was just lucky ... Is there room for improvement ? Sure ! But for a gun that was designed to be brutally simple, and effective, it just doesn't get any better than that.
