Just a heads up on the chinese sks firing pin. I hope mine is the only one, but it seems the firing pin lacks some tempering.
After about the 160th round out the tube, had a miss fire, cranked and fired a few more rounds then action wouldnt fully close... WTF?.. The firing pin got blown right out of the bolt, fixed it in the field and it hapened again.
Turns out the firing pin at the very front became square shouldered( low tempering) and actually poked a round hole in the primer, consequently forcing the small round piece of primer metal back into the bolt and with gas pressure, blowing out the firing pin. Its hard to believe the retaining pin, for the firing pin, did not hold it back?.
I rounded out the contact point of the pin and reassembled the rifle... just havent shot it yet to confirm its ok.
