seems odd, maybe an old import [like WAAAYY old]

Sounds like the firearm is simply malfunctioning, they tested 20 other same firearms with no problems at all. The bulletin is new (Nov. 14/2014) so I doubt it is in regards to any old imports as the issue would likely have been brought to light that that time.

I've heard about this. Since the SKS was NEVER manufactured to fire in full-auto, this is a mechanical defect in the trigger mechanism - sounds to me like the disconnector isn't working right (however, I could be totally out to lunch).

Someone forgot to clean the cosmo out and had a slamfire. Run for the hills now all sks will be prohib LOL

This is exactly the case, in fact the disconnector isn't functioning AT ALL in some of these older production SKS'. This is why that stop and hold order was issued for the SKS until the RCMP could figure out why a clean, non-full auto firearm was shooting full auto.

Possessed, could never be a owners negligence!
