Happy New Year All
I plan on getting a SKS in the next couple weeks and have a couple questions I haven't been able to find the answer to. First what is the LOP of a regular SKS ??? I suspect they weren't like the British with 3 different lengths. Second question I have is the unusual colour of the Russian Birch that most rifles have. They seem to be reddish along with darker areas. Is this the wood it self or the finish they put on it. It almost seems to be a Camo job, but I can't see them spending any more time on them than necessary. What does the stock look like after it has been stripped and refinished with say Tung Oil ??? Thanks, Jack
