I wouldn't want to use one with the folder closed, but having a folder would make it nicer to pack in the bush. :)
Why not? That's the whole reason for having a folding stock, so you can shoot from the hip!! Who cares if you can't hit anything, at least you look cooooool  I think an ATI folder would need a tactical-pressure-switch-operated-dynamic-entry-targeting-laser (or two!! a red and a green one!!), that would make it the perfect weapon for quick target acquisition on charging milk jugs and fast-moving tasmanian devils, as well as your garden variety zombie that might be lurking around any corner or in any dumpster

Seriously though, the only reason I'd get one is for packing around in the bush, like you mentioned. They're extremely light, 2.4 pounds or some such, which would make the complete rifle around 6 pounds loaded. Plus they're short enough to cart around on your back underneath your jacket, so if it's raining/snowing the rifle doesn't get soggy :D

Fiberforce Stock

So... is there anyone who has had a positive shooting experience with the Fiberforce and is willing to endorse it? And yes, I know that the stock one chooses should be the one that allows for the best shooting experience (except, of course, cosmetics are all you care about), but I guess I'm just wondering if the above mentioned stock is worth the money.

I'm going to have to agree with 'Beer about the Tapco T6 looking like a hackjob.

BTW, post number 1 for me. I like your community; keep up the good work people.

The only bitz of advice I have about the fiberforce stock is to go try one and see what you think...everyone is built differently, and these stocks fit some better then others.

Also I'd make the experience more enjoyable by putting a butt pad on it...as the rifle will be quite abit lighter and as a result have more recoil then an original wood stocked one. :)

Finally I'd get the cheek rest that allows you to carry the cleaning kit securely inside. That original cleaning kit is really a neat item when you figure out how it all works together. :)
