Sorry, I don't know where you are shooting, but I have belonged to 4 gun clubs with ranges in Canada in the last 20 years. Each and every one of them has a minimum 100 YARD range, and some are longer but all were in YARDS. Currently, the range I am using is a 400 YARD range. No one I have ever read posting on here posts the range for kills in metres, they have all been posted in YARDS. No hunter within my personal knowledge calculates distance in metres, all of their range finders are set to yards, even the bow hunters. Also I have chronied "surplus" rounds and have gotten fairly consistent 2770fps - 2790 fps. So the info provided was fairly on the money and we are only talking eighths of inches here. Not even a consideration when discussing the accuracy of an SKS. And if you really want to get technical, the sights are graduated in metric, which the Soviet world adopted in 1924. The standard unit of measure then was the "ARSHIN" which equaled 28 English inches. I have a Moisin Nagant graduated in those, I guess I'd better not shoot that on ANY Canadian range. Thanks for the advice.
