Curious, I understand that you feel that writing letters and signing petitions are a fools errand to you, what do you hope to gain for our sport by trying to convince others to not participate????? While you are not wrong in that letters and petitions don’t cause governments jump to attention and cave to demands, if they don’t recieve ANY pushback, that emboldens them to push their anti- gun agenda harder as they feel there is not real opposition to it. If you don’t believe then by all means, don’t write/sign but why discourage others?

Normally I'd just roll my eyes at this sort of thing and give a sarcastic response, but since it's Christmas I'll be a better person and apologise for offending you. Although I believe that the old pantheon of gods exist and not a singular god, I don't worship any of them, and so I sometimes forget that others find that sort of wording offensive. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I never said for others not to write letters, I said it's proven to be an absolute waste of time......:(

We are way past signing petitions and writing letters. A change of this corrupt government or a civil uprising of it's people are the last two resorts that may change a dirty, corrupt and lying government who wants to divide and control the people.

If you feel it's note-worthy to write letters, fill your boots. I have no problem with that.

For me, I will no longer plat this silly game of cat & mouse with any corrupt politicians......:)

No you did not specifically tell others not to write but making such a negative post (and now doing it again) certainly won’t encourage others and very well may deter some. I’ll never understand why some gun owners insist on discouraging other gun owners from trying to save our sport, whether it be this case of writing a letter and or signing a petition or joining one of the gun rights groups IE NFA, CCFR, etc

I actually encourage most gun owners to stand up and fight for our rights to bear arms in Canada, which are in fact human rights as well. If someone does not write a letter of disgust, that's up to them.

I can see your point, and although I agree with you somewhat, you have to understand that the UN and WEF who control most corrupt governments and want to disarm all civilians eventually, will not be discouraged by a petition, email or letter of opposition to their evil agenda.

My wife and I signed the largest petition in Canadian history and Trudy-socks used it as @ss-wipe. It was an absolute disgrace to democracy and freedoms. We all saw what the creep did to the freedom truckers convey in Ottawa. I'm sure if he could have shot every Canadian that attended this event, he would have. He's a lying, cheating, dirty scumbag that has communist tyrannical narratives. If you feel writing letters will help, do it. I'm okay with others doing the same.

Unfortunately, there is a saying that says: Communism can be voted in, but one has to shoot their way out of it!.....:(

It would seem Canada is not far off from a Civil War, if Canadians do not wake up and vote out tyranny in this upcoming spring election. Even once Pierre Poilievre gets elected as a majority government, it will take 10-20 years to clean up the mess Trudeau has left this country in.

We can only hope the Conservatives can start by reversing the ridiculous OIC bans, bring back handgun ownership in buying, selling and trading, and make a common sense Firearms Act that will protect law-abiding Canadian firearm owners.

Please feel free to write a letter. I just won't do this anymore.

Your also right in stating that Trudeau Sr. created so much damage, it too might never be reversed.

This country needs a huge correction, some are afraid to talk about it. I don't like talking about it, it is however very real.

Never woulda guessed a $250 sh*tty rifle like the SKS-D goes up like 5x in value but hey, to each their own lol.
 
I Always wanted a Yugo, I Remeber a sponsor bringing in some like new ones for $800 a few years back, should have bought one, I have 4 SKS's now, 3 Chinese and a Russian, And 4-5 Crates of ammo, I rarely shoot them anymore. but always seems to want another one!
 
I've had a few SKS models over the years and always got rid of them.
Never saw what the attraction and fanfare was, 70 year old beat up guns with crappy metal work, ridiculously ugly finishes, lowest quality wood, trigger that I bet those tiny Asians strain to pull.
I had a hard time paying and justifying $139 for one , how people are OK paying $700 with taxes is just beyond me.

I saw the Cabelas SKS in Halifax last week on my monthly trip there.

I'd be embarrassed to be proud to own what was on display.
