The choate is probably the final answer to the scope mount question. SKSman out of the US is a supplier and I have had great dealings with him( use the phone and speak slowly!). Curtton, a mod on here, is a wizard with backyard tools and helped me install the choate in an afternoon(stickie up top of page). It works great but you may find you have to make an additional mount "slot" for your scope ring thru bolt to fit the shortish rail to the scope profile. Next, if you wish, you have to find a small enough scope to not interfere with the stripper clip guide. A shell deflector is needed or the casings will bounce off your longer scope( ejector modification may be available). Make sure to Locktite(red) the mount/rifle screws in place. Cheers
