I am noticing that my SKS seems to be having a recurring stoppage problem.
First off, it is a 1950 Tula SKS in minty refurbed condition. I clean it immaculately after every shooting.
Every couple of rounds I get a classic, projectile pointed straight up, stove pipe stoppage.
Sometimes it will fire 20 rounds without problem, sometimes it will happen every 5 rounds or so and sometimes not at all
I have no other issues with the rifle. She is in VG to Excellent condition, this occurs wether I am using Wolf ammunition or surplus. I have fired at least 3 or 4 types of ammunition in it and eventually will encounter the same scenario. It seems to happen at the second to last or last round in the magazine.
I am wondering if anyone else experienced this problem, any ideas as to what is causing this, or how to remedy the situation?
Thanks all.
