SKS vs type 81

What exactly is a Gen1 T81? The T81 has been in almost continuous manufacture for nearly 37 years. Gen1... LMFAO.

Oh, and a .22LR benchrest rig with a scope in the summer and you're ragging on the OP for even getting out in -30 to pop a few rounds for fun. Good god. What range do you belong to? Remind me never to join there, I don't like sticks up my butt. I'll bet you glare at people who shoot strings and smile when at the range.

Just looking for an argument and or being intentionally dense... You quoted me directly. I Said I stay away from new/preorder/gen1 ect type products. Im not saying the t81 is a gen1.
"Learned my lesson with the XCR-L gen1" No where did I say the t81 is a gen one. It is a pre order and a new product for Canada though.
If I hear this over-used cliche one more time, I'm gonna puke.

I forget who recently coined this here, but it's crap. 4 or 5 MOA when shooting fast and fun with crappy surplus is not "minute of man". That would be like 12+ MOA.

No military would ever use that term, and the Chinese certainly want and strive for their rifles to be as precise as possible for the cost they put into them.

So much fail by the haters.

Again intentionally dense. We know that no rifle is really "minute of man". Its just a coined term for a battle rifle.

this thread is a ridiculous as comparing a Ford Ranger to a Dodge Dakota and then the S10 dude comes along and says his is better... :sniper:

If you took the time to read, Im not arguing that any rifle is better then the other here. It is very obvious im pointing out that the "accuracy" test is bogus and not worth crap.
S10's are crap though I will say that.

Im not sure if everyone is being intentionally stupid or whats going on here. I never said one rifle is better then the other. Not even close.

I am saying that the legitimacy of the test is non existent. It does not properly provide a reliable test for accuracy of the individual rifles tested.

:bangHead:d:h:

I just would like to have a couple 7.62x39 platforms using different ammo, benched at 25, 50, even 100 yards, but would be happy even at 50 yard indoor ranges just to compare.

My 81 has only ever seen Cabela's 1500 round double spam can wood box stuff and it is 6-8 moa and a buddy of mine came over to my place this fall to run a couple hundred rounds through his 81 but he had three or four different types of ammo and his was about the same with each type of ammo.
When it warms up I'll take mine out for a little more serious shooting, I modified the sights again after my last outing with it.

If you're ever in the Edmonton area PM me and you can come out to my place and shoot mine.

Thanks, I have family there might take you up on a road trip when it wams up. Would like to see how your T81 feels compared to my old 84S.

Thanks
