I had my Sig X5 Tactical at the range this weekend for the first time in a year. In the past, I shot only 115gr Winchester whitebox stuff. This weekend, I was shooting American Eagle 147gr (with the truncated cone shaped bullets).
Most of the time, the side didn't lock back after the last round. I tried 4 different mags, and observed the same problem with all of them.
Could it be the ammo?
I didn't have anything else on hand to do a comparison. But, I must say, if ever I've had probs with 9mm ammo in the past, it is always the 147 grain stuff (especially in 1911s and other guns with tight tolerances). BTW, I was also shooting my HK P30, and it ate this ammo just fine that day.
