slight but noticable "mottling" or "freckling" on reloaded GP11 brass after reloading
clean, nice shiny brass, reloaded, looked nice.
Two days later I wanted to show it to someone, and pulled it out of the box and it had little "freckles" on it. Cannot feel them, but you can see them. Sort of "zombie" brass, if you get my meaning.
used RCBS case lube, wiped most of it off after everything was done, but you can tell they were lubed still. Put in the surplus paper GP11 boxes, and 18 of them in my 3 mags. 2 loose rounds.
all exhibit this.
Any ideas?
anything I can do to prevent it next time?
anything I can do to clean these up?
also, I did 42 rounds of 8mm mauser and about 70 rounds of .223 at the same time with the same lube and equipment, and all of that is still clean and shiny.
