Slightly Disappointed.

We have acknowledged your concerns and provided a resolution path within hours of notification by issuing an RMA.

At this stage, no further action can occur until the rifle is returned and evaluated by the manufacturer. Public commentary does not alter manufacturer warranty procedures, nor does it substitute for inspection.

Our obligations and remedies are clearly outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which you agreed to at the time of purchase. Those terms have been followed precisely in this case.

Once the firearm is received, we will promptly submit it to Ruger and proceed based on their determination.

Its funny, but people think stores are obligated to exchange guns.

When your terms and conditions states "If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization form (RMA) within 10 business days of the receipt of the product. If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund, less 15% restocking fee" I argue that an exchange is very much warranted.

I'm curious... Does Ruger have some policy regarding condition of cerakote finish or minimum quality standards. As far as the transporting company is concerned. Did you pay for an inspection service? Do they offer an inspection service? Did they actually say they would open and inspect a package for you? They didn't did they? You purchased a firearm from Ruger and they facilitated the cross border transaction. You are literally shooting the messenger. You would have to pay for that level of service and it would include a considerable mark up on the base price. There are liabilities by opening a package that doesn't belong to you. Your point of sale was at the factory door... Not when YOU opened the box. It's just the way it is. No matter how you slice it. This doesn't mean I don't have empathy for your predicament. Cheers

I didn't purchase it from ruger, I purchased it from IRG when it was in a batch that IRG imported and at the time that I purchased it, it was already in Canada.

IRG made it unequivocally clear that they would inspect it. I called in right after placing my order and told them that sometimes with factory applied coatings they can be done not so well, and if they can look it over for any flaws before mailing it out.

I was told not to worry, that they would look it over for any visible defects and give me one without any. That clearly wasn't done. It's hard to believe they made good on their promise when all the flaws are so blatantly visible.

I stand corrected then. You paid for inspection as they included it in writing? But the level of inspection would be subjective to their standards not yours regardless of opinion. Perhaps it was the best one they had and your only recourse is to get Ruger to step up for the quality of the firearm coating. Seems your burning a bridge here though. It's not a store front where there's additional mark up. Regardless I hope you get it sorted. Cheers

It kind of show how people on cgn is so fragile and delicate and quite frankly downright degenerate with matters that have little to zero concern regarding them.

Clearly ruger's QC was not done properly for me to be receiving something like this, so my request was totally reasonable to which IRG promised to do.

They told me it would be shipped by a date, only for it to ship 2 days later with me calling to try and see with no avil, lead me on with false promises.

Assured me they would look over the firearm before sending, yet again another false promise.

Is it ridiculous to be upset because I was promised 2 things that were never delivered? Or is it totally acceptable for people/businesses to be making promises that they have no intention/capacity of fulfilling? Do you keep your word as a man or are you one of those pathological liars that like to deceive through every promise that you make? I wonder which it is.
It's not ridiculous that your a little upset.... it's a little ridiculous to b i t c h about it for days on the internet and think that's going to make things better for you?

But carry on, I admire your stamina..... :).

Elbows up, and Happy Boxingday!

Congrats on painting yourself not only as insufferable, but as someone to avoid selling to privately.

Maybe IRG has a pair in your size for your next range trip with the ruger.

I admire your capacity to be continuously vocal on an issue that has zero concern to you. Surely, you must have more pressing matters that you ought to focus on

As I said many times before, I am here to share my experience on this particular order with this company. Call it "#####ing" if you'd like and twist the narrative as you have done in the past, whatever suits you.

I find it equally as funny that you are constantly trying to be so confrontational and provocative to someone else's prespective on an matter that again, is entirely unconcerning to you.

I didn't start this dumpster fire, but I will admit it is a bit entertaining as I wait for the water to come to a boil so I can move on to "more pressing" matters as you suggest and enjoy a cup of French Press coffee.... :)

Hey at least we are both amused.... it's an improvement and a good start to the day!

Your first EE transaction will be an epic thread to read about.
No kidding, right? I wonder if we can buy advance tickets.

This thread would be mildly amusing almost any time, but it's especially ridiculous when you consider the timing.

Shipping took a couple extra days...right before Christmas! Waaaaaaah!😭

Responses from IRG weren't instantaneous right before Christmas! Waaaaaaaah! 😭

Then a litany of various iterations of Waaaaaaaah! posted throughout Christmas Eve day and even Christmas day. 😭😤

OP must have been the life of the party during Christmas
How? He was hiding in the corner posting and posting and posting....

OP, what is the rationale behind this thread? After you receive comment after comment indicating that there is very little agreement with your stance...what do you hope to achieve? You tell us that you cannot understand our fascination with this dumpster fire of a thread, your mind is made up that you are right and everyone else is wrong...why keep posting if you are not going to add any further data outside of Waaaaaah?
