Hey just wondering if anyone here has had to deal with Smith and Wesson for warranty repairs or replacement?
Long story short, My brother bought a brand new Model 29-10 from a dealer here in Alberta. He bought the revolver got it home and waited for the registration certificate. Got the certificate, cleaned the revolver before its first range trip and while cleaning it, he noticed a crack in the frame underneath where the barrel threads into the frame. He took the gun back to the store, and now he’s been waiting over a month and hasn’t heard anything about it. He called the gun shop and they basically said haven’t heard anything.
I know these things take time, but You would think after a month You might hear something back considering its brand new and unfired. Smith and Wessons quality control should have caught that crack in the frame. But as we all know sometimes manufacturers quality control is bad.
Anyways, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or similar issues with Smith and Wesson? My brother is a little pissed considered he’s new to handguns and a 6.5” model 29 is his dream revolver. He ended buying a 29-2 so he has one to shoot until the warranty issue is resolved.
Thanks Everyone!
