Smith & Wesson 4506

As far as handicapping, i beat enough of the autofeeders while shooting revolver, so i'm not worried to much ;)

Hmmmm, I'm not a bad wheelgunner either (shot a 121.25 on an IDPA Classifier practice session yesterday with my S&W 66 snubbie). Maybe we can race our revolvers some day.

I've taken a close look at mine and don't see any sign of that. However, I have sent an e-mail to S&W asking about that being an issue.

:)Got an answer back this morning from Steve Roach, S&W customer service concerning a question of frame cracking on the 4506 ;

Hello Johnn,

We have not heard of this being an issue with that model at all. Hope this helps.

Regards, Steve

I regret selling my 4506. Shot great, good SA trigger, very accurate, fit my hand very well.

I have one and picked up a couple of spare mags for it at a local gun show a while back.

I took it to the range to scare the spiders out of the barrel last week, for the first time in quite a while. A guy at the club that I used to work with expressed a definate interest in it. I may end up parting with it as I also have a custom 1911 and a Kimber Super Match II.

The straight backstrap along with the round trigger guard were the last changes S&W made on their 3rd gen large frame pistols from 1991 till the end of production.
