My M&P has been nothing but a great experience. I sold my Glock shortly after. (Not that I had anything against Glock's- I just needed the money). When making the decision to buy, I also checked out the XD9, and was headed that route until I picked up the S&W. I found that the natural feel / pointablility of the M&P felt much better to me than both my Glock and the XD. My first day on the range, I was worried about the POI , which was consistently low and left. I adjusted the rear sight a little, and it seemed to improve, but was still left. Then, someone with far superior knowledge to myself watched me and had me adjust my grip slightly, and from then on I was putting them into the centre consistantly (and fast). You won't be dissapointed with the M&P9- S&W is making a great product now. Never a stoppage (that should be a given with any modern 9), fast, light, thin...Best of luck with your decision. Let us know what you decide.
