Smokin deals on Grand Power 9mm's/.22's and range reports

As far as I know trigger wholesale is a distributor and only sells to retailers. Wouldn't it make more sense to contact your dealer and ask them to contact trigger? I know if I was running trigger id keep the chain of communication with my retailers and let them be my mouthpiece.

We've all seen tons of dealers on here get flammed almost every time they commented on a topic.

I also think this is a great new product and as with all firearms related items imports are long and promises are often broken.

To not even do a potential customer the courtesy of a reply seems pretty poor customer service to me. In my case I was asking them to point me to a dealer who had inventory available. Isn't it Trigger's job to promote these guns?

As to these being "great new product" I'm not sure how "new" they really are. GP has been around for awhile.....

As to "great" I'm not sure I'd go that far either. I have a K100 and a K22S. While I like the guns quite a lot (and think they were very good value at the prices I paid), I'm not sure I'd call them "great"

I think we just need to be patient.
Considering that the North American Business Rep for Grand Power is a regular contributor here it's just a matter of time before things get dialed in and they announce their big introductory sale pricing...... :)

....................Crickets...............

Maybe Canuck is away. He is usually pretty good about responding to questions.

Even if Trigger just send an automated email response saying "Thank you for your interest in Grand Power. We are a wholesaler only and do not sell to the public. Please click on the link for a list of authorised dealers." Anything would be better than ignoring/blowing off inquiries from potential Grand Power customers. There are lots of choices in this type of pistol. If Trigger is going to be rude why give them your money?

I hope GP haven't made yet another mistake in choosing a Canadian distributer

S&J Hardware is carrying Grand Power firearms. I sent an email inquiring about the availability of magazines. Simon responded that the importer says they will have them early in the new year. I'm hoping they will. Otherwise I will source CZ magazines and modify them as per Ganderite and VanMan's posts.

It appears the guns could use some tweaking.
Organize a seminar, show a number of owners what needs to be done, videotape the process so everyone can see it.
A big group of happy owners telling their pals would go a long way in driving sales.

I agree.....if you're trying to get into the market, best to be able to buy magazines and accessories. nobody wants a gun you can't get parts for

Maybe a letter writing campaign to Jaroslav Kuracina is in order:

^ Here's the thing.....I realize I'm a relative newcomer to the shooting sports but if ......"- stoned & polished hammer face and underside of slide (radius'd corner that resets the hammer back and the rib that runs on top of the hammer) - stronger extractor spring (stretched out existing one ~ 1/4"), re-profile and stone extractor" ..... needs to happen to make a product function properly shouldn't that have been done by the manufacturer before the item is sold????

I can't imagine anyone saying something like " Well, after doing X,Y and Z my new snowblower starts most of the time" or "just a little more tinkering and my new car should stop everytime I hit the brakes"

Isn't it reasonable to expect brand new products to work as designed? IE: for a semi automatic pistol to fire, eject the spent round and load a new round from it's magazine

Bought a Windows machine lately?

Where did they find this unicorn you speak of?

I kept asking Joe if he has any left. I know he's got lots of stuff around his shop but he's always too busy to look. he finally got around to looking and I got the last one he had. it was actually two broken mags put together to make one good mag.

I had an ad on EE WTB Grand Power mags.....no response

good luck finding Grand Power mags. nobody has them

Easily made from CZ mags....mags are not that huge of an issue at this point.
As Nestor points out, spare parts available in canada would be a relief. This is exactly the reason I shy away from boutique or obscure pistols....lack of parts availability.
I can have a Glock/Beretta/SIG up and running within a work week regardless of what might break on it. I know I got this GP cheap, but I don't want a $325 paper weight either lol.
