So, any CGN's up for a road trip?

Well my bud is gonna run the whole idea past his boss(Wife) and see what she thinks.

So it is a possibility to go from his place. He is about an hour west of Moose Jaw.


I still have to talk to my cousin and see if he would be ok if we had it from his place....but I am sure that it would be ok!!
 
Well I'm all in for anywhere, but the closer to Moose jaw the better:)
I have a fair amount gear that I don't mind lending out if it's close enough for me to me drive back and fourth.

Grass and Gophers sounds like a hippy fun weekend!!:D:dancingbanana:

It'll be like woodstock !!
Maybe we can get a band!!! Or maybe the singer from Streetheart !!!!!
and a beer Tent !!!!! Yes a beertent!!! and games of chance !!!! and a ferris wheel!!
And Candy apples, not the cheap red ones, but that dark brown butterscoth stuff, Yummmm!
and, and.... hold on a second, ... what is it we're doing again!

Ya my bud said he likes the idea, but his place cant handle to many people...However, if there were more places we could go to near his place, it would make a good base camp to strike out from!
 
One game I thought we could play:

We all chip in $20 to the "pot"

whoever kills the most gophers in the course of a set time gets % of the pot.

whoever kills the biggest gopher gets % of the pot.

Whoever gets least amout gets the rest....??

So say 70 to the most 20 to the biggest and 10 to the least amount...something like that...hehe

Pharoah, we should go for coffee or something and talk more about this..im up for it!!!
 
K biggest is good....hard to prove a longest shot...tho we could set up a target at long range...say 100-150 yards, then keep moving it farther out...eliminate the bad shots :D:D

Get one kick at the cat, you miss, you are out....
 
It's about 6500 km round trip for me. I have to get an oil change before the trip and another one on the way home. :eek:
Don't you guys complain having to drive 6 hours. :slap: :D
 
Keep in mind tho, within any of the areas I know of, I cannot guarantee that there will be lots of gophers....historically there has been lots of em, but until they are out and about...nobody knows...

But really the weekend is more about having fun and making new friends....

Im sure we can think of all kinds of fun things to do....should invite a couple Lieberals out there too....can use em as a pinata!
 
hahhaa, i'm really hoping on winning the lottery soon so that I can contribute some AB gopher hunting grounds for the CGN crowds.
And also get a stockpile beyond all imagination!
 
It's about the warmth and comradery of fellow gunmen.
Should a few thousand gophers meet their demise amongst the bonding, than so be it, and should after the shooting, a few dozen beer be drankin, so be it, and should we deicide to kill another hundred gophers by flicking our beer caps at them, then again, so be it. and it will be so.
