I was thinking about maybe heading into saskatchachuck in a couple of months. We all know about their blessing, er, plague of gophers running around them flat hills. I heard their welcoming vacationing shooters with a rifle. So, I thought maybe a group of us could take a few days off and head out. We could meet up at a motel or what have you in say Regina or some place. Then we could allow the other halves run of the town and enjoy some good shooting. 2 or 3 days would be great fun I'd think. Anyone be interested in somthing like that? We could call ahead and try to locate property, reserve rooms etc. Whacha think?
 
I don't know of any to accomodate a shooting fest, ...
There is a great place about 2.5 - 3 hours south west of here that is just plagued and guys shoot brick after brick.

I'll get you some phone numbers next week.

ya i would say your right but very few actually do it. alot talk but if your up to it let me know i want at least one other to come with me. iam in. pm me for some info if you want.
 
If you are interested in going around Swift Current let me know.

I can hook us up with about 40 or so SECTIONS of land we can shoot gophers on, also I know of a place where we can set out tents up(If we wanna camp out) for free.

I have family in that area, and know pretty much all the land owners in that area :D:D

Swift Current is roughly 4 hours from Lethbridge.

Im gonna have to call my cuz, let him know what im planning lolz!! See how many people they are willing to have in this pow wow....

There is also room for RV's, but no hook ups....
 
Well I know Bulls-eye is wanting in on this. So we have what, 5 or 6 right now. I'm sure the lady's would be coming as well. So say a dozen or so, give or take. What time of year would be good for everyone? I thought June, but it might be getting a little late in the season. But the weather is bound to be nice with comfortable evenings and not too hot of days. Lets work out a time line here, what do you guys figure to be good for you?

just go out to the night ranch or remington cattle co. out by delbonita
itll be about 1 hour for you and gophers galor and you can go home every night
or just pitch a tent out in the hills and get plastered drunk
hell if your just shooting a .22 they might even give you the bullets
 
Been to the Knight many times. But it appears you haven't heard the stories I have about Saskatchewan. Years back, certain areas on the Knight were great. As were the other areas I've been on the ridge, towards Monarch, and everywhere in between. But when shooting gophers makes the news, that's where I want to be. :D
