So..............did you get one?

So in my blind panic to get my order in, I got the address wrong and it came all the way across Canada only to go all the way back again. The rifle has now traveled more than I have. It shipped almost next day the first time and now it will ship again almost next day again.
Thank you Wolverine supplies.

While I was wondering what was taking so long for my rifle to travel from Manitoba to B.C. I decided to look at the shipment tracking site, to see where it was at today. Apparently it arrived in Vancouver on April 20th. It all makes sense now. Next time I'll avoid shipping through the "green" province on their civic holiday. Hah.

Anybody have some paint chipped off from the charging handle knob? Now that I notice it, it sticks out like a sore thumb whenever I look at it

Yep, mine has a little rub here and there too (certainly nothing I cannot attribute to sliding around in the box during delivery).

As I have no intention of hijacking this thread, if anyone has ever had their baby (not just an 858) refinished by a firm, and is impressed enough with the job to endorse their work - PM me.

I'm still up in the air as to if I wanna have a workhorse or princess.

Got my folding stock from Czechoslovakia today. No import fees upon delivery. Very stiff and gritty joint. Took it apart and cleaned it and now it's smooth as butter. To take the folding stock apart, you simply unscrew the button until it comes loose. I used channel locks and a piece of cloth to protect the metal. Be careful not to lose the spring that's inside.

Got mine as well we must have ordered from the same ebay user haha I'm very happy with my folding stock, 50$ to the door with no extra fees, small amount of paint wear on the shoulder area but thats to be expected. Very nice stock and superb rifle from Wolverine, could not be happier with this purchase, now for some wood furniture!

hey can anyone get their bayonet scabbard to actually fasten around the handle??? mine are all too tight and wont reach including the brand new one from wolverene

Neatsfoot Oil
Neatsfoot oil is a yellow oil rendered and purified from the shin bones and feet (but not the hooves) of cattle. "Neat" in the oil's name comes from an old English word for cattle. Neatsfoot oil is used as a conditioning, softening and preservative agent for leather.

Holy crap I think I'm in love.

Mine arrived today, graciously forwarded to me from a top notch CGN'er for well under $1600 lol. My internet tracking showed an attempted delivery while I was on my 45 minute drive home from work so I circled the neighborhood until I tracked down the CanadaPost truck.

I remember handling one in a gun shop years ago when I first got my license (and was a bit more dumb and inexperienced than I am currently) and I remember thinking that it was way too light and skinny... LOL... So I bought a big ol' M14 instead. And I loved it.

But after years of brushing off our Canadian edition CZ/VZ'Z's as being way too long barreled (which they are), having no legal way to get around the 5 round mag limit (sucks), getting involved in AR's (expensive), and buying and selling the odd SKS's to shoot cheap non restricted surplus, all I can say is that I wish I would have got into a couple of these at the prices I remember from years ago.

These things are freaking awesome!

I bought this because I just moved to an area where I have lots of gravel pit access, but a very limited indoor rifle range, and my beloved AR's have been sitting neglected.

I'm sitting here writing this with my new CZ in my lap, seriously considering selling an AR just to get another one to mod out. And I haven't even shot the dang thing yet!

This one though, will remain exactly the way it came, in its glossy, retro beaver barf furniture. What a cool looking gun.

Can't wait to take it out this weekend :)

I really like the light color beaver barf on that one, never seen one like that before.

Finally got mine. U-shaped front sight, 3.75" group, snug upper handguard, dark unchipped paint, dent-free beaver barf, only a bit of wear on the cheek rest. Well worth the wait.

Does anybody know what SB2 means on the test group? See last pic

100m

Everything looks great on mine, got the lighter beaver barf too which is cool. It has the full hooded sight, not sure which is better or why but I'm good with either/or.

Only cons were is the pistol grip is a bit loose. The bayonet looks brand new, but unfortunately its missing 1 of the 4 washers so it kinda wiggles a bit but that's alright.

Mags and pouch look new !

Overall I'm super thankful to Wolverine, really appreciate it. Can't wait to take her to the range :p
