So do I buy a 10.5" Norc or a 14.5" Norc - Norc AR Haters Leave Now Please...

I Bought the 14.5 from Marstar. In my Humble opinion It's more practical, a better investment, Will be accurate for short or long range shooting. key holes @25 yards, 1 to 1 1/2 inches @ 100 yards, I can consistently hit a 15 inch plate at 213 yards. Even double taps! And not to mention using Norc Ammo.... Not one malfunction with 700 rds down the pipe. $699!!!

What makes better sense.... Best of both worlds, Dual purpose, practical or eye candy? Just my way of thinking... ;)

You'll get the same accuracy at those short ranges with a 10.5

I use my 10.5" AR when I'm playing and want the extra LCF... For competition I use a 16".

I went 16" instead of 14.5" so I can take it to the States for competitions, but that likely isn't a consideration.

As you said, it's a sickness and this is only the beginning... Doesn't matter which you buy, as you will get the other as soon as you can afford it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget that if that is an idea in the future, Norinco products are not allowed in the USA.

You can still bring a 14.5" to the US if you pin and weld the flash hider/ muzzle brake.
It is then considered part of the barrel.
As others have mentioned a Norc is a no go for south of the border.

14.5" is fun :dancingbanana:

10.5" is funner

So someone contacted me about a 14.5" Norinco. Is this one painted or anodized? I'm guessing painted but hoping for anodized.

Thanks.

I'm an ar noob, what is this wheel you speak of? Lol

NoDanger means the sight comes off but you may end up cutting it off, as the tapered pins that hold it on are generally installed by an 800lb gorilla with a big hammer. Lots of people have been unable to get the pins out with damaging something.

/\ /\ Nice!

So I just bought the 10.5" CQA. I may have just bought the last one for $649.00 at Reliable though. That deal may be over now. Very excited to get it. Purchased all the Magpul goodies today as well and I'm going to get the TRS-25 today or tomorrow. Now we wait :( I will post pictures of the completed rifle once I get it. Thanks everyone for all the advice and insight.
