So I bought a Tavor...

Yeah? That's what I was thinking but just wish someone could confirm for me! haha

Confirmation granted. You will need to remove the barrel to switch it over however. When you go to do it, drop me a PM. I have done somewhere between 5-10 conversions and seem to have my barrel off once or more a month for some reason or another.... :p

Just be sure you dont try to remove the barrel with the CH not removed yet. Failure to do so can cost $100+ to repair.

You deserve a gold star. You pretty much answered all my questions so thanks a lot!

Eventually I'll buy a left handed bolt but for now I'm gunna shoot it a bunch as is and go from there!
Cheers.

A mistake known as the "Dilli"!!

OP, listen to 120ish. You are in good hands!;)

where is dilli tonight?
lol, im sure he'd like that one...
I shouldn't talk though, ever since I read his thread I gave up on removing the barrel for full disassembly. The kid is braver than me.

Good evening Dilli! How ya doin''?

Things looking up lately?

I've been working 7 days a week, so no time for bad luck I guess... LoL...

But this week I'm working on a super secret room with level 5 finish. So I'm sure I will have a major screw up in my future... LoL

Hahahahahahahaha, I should of never told you guys about my mishap... I feel picked on...

Milspec drywall job... LoL... With high gloss milspec paint.

To this day I'm blown away by the specs I have to follow when building these high speed rooms.

Lol I will eventually. And when I do swap the CH over I will be in contact with 120ish to prevent pulling a "dilli" hahaha. thanks guys

I've had brand new left handed shooters try the Tavor without any issues. You can get an effective cheek weld far enough behind the ejection port that it won't clip you in the mouth much, if at all. If it does clip you, it'll be a quick brush. You don't eat rounds like you do with the AUG.

The Tavor ejection port should eject straight out and ever so slightly towards the front of the rifle. If you hold the rifle in the Israeli style, you'll mitigate rounds ejecting into your elbow joint and burning you. The deflector previously linked in this thread helps throw brass even farther forward. So it would definitely be worth looking into, but not required immediately IMO.
