So many doe's

I have no problem taking a doe, but on vancouver island, for the most part, you are only allowed to shoot doe on the east side for the powerlines (side close to town) which is also the shotgun only area... Therefore, a bit of a predicament. I'm going to try a couple other spots I've been scoping out this week. (WOOHOO holidays in hunting season)

Being a Alberta boy in Quebec I have trouble seeing bucks as I keep forgetting to look really close to the head and below ear level. Have lots of does here but getting a tag seems to be a hard thing to do.

Hunt around Cowichan. Last year we went there twice and got a doe in the first 45 minutes.

I went tonight to Shawnigan and walked about 10km from 4-7:15pm and didn't see a thing. Last night I saw a doe but I think the other deer with it were fawns, then I lost it when I decided to get a better look.

I was thinking about driving down Macmillan Bloedel Rd off chemainus, then once I figure I'm far enough, get out and walk up those hills, get a little further away maybe
