So what do you all consider your favorite utility rifle?

Depends on what part of BC I am in...

In southern BC I take my LSI Puma M92 stainless steel 20" barreled 454 Casull which goes nicely with my Ruger SRH's in 454 Casull that I have on my ATC.

When I start heading north I grab my Marlin 1895GS 45-70 that I have set up too take scope or XS Ghost ring sights.

I have been thinking about shortening the barrel on my Rem 700 LSS 375 RUM installing quick dettachable scope mounts and iron sights then loading it with heavier bullets...

I have a Winchester built P14 303 British that I consider my "truck" gun. It has been modified a bit (barrel bobbed and crowned, Timney trigger, Boyd's Pepper laminate stock) It shoots great, and is capable of handling anything I might have to subdue. It shoots Steve Redgwell's Mk 9 200 grainer into very nice groups! Regards, Eagleye.

Well, my Rossi .410 single shot seemed to be the first thing I was reaching for in the safe. I gave it to my mom last christmas since I just bought the same shotgun in 20 ga.

If I would have to chose a do everything/carry anywhere rifle, I would reach for my SKS. The reason I don't take it out as much is the thought of the lenghty cleaning session that will follow any use...
