you rebarelled all of these?
was the kimber barrels hit n miss or what?

EDIT- never really mind, i see they are not ya run of the mill calibres :) nicely done.

Barret fieldcraft,18" creedmore, 2x7x33 leupold, 6 lbs even, really like this compact rifle.
In NZ I have a highly customized kimber MT assent in .260, 22" 5lbs 2 oz with a leupold LW in 3x9, and four down. too light, difficult to shoot well, and waiting for the day the Manners ultralight stock, breaks threw the wrist, scope isn't great in low light, either, have a Z3 to swap onto it,when covid is done ####ing my travel plans. I thought this would be my main Alpine rifle, but it's not really up to the task, and is mostly used for bush hunting.
Still favour a M70 featherweight 22" 7x57, with a 2.4x10 Leica, for Alpine and general hunting, 7.5 lbs, good balanced rifle.

Lastly got a Cooper back country in 300 win, 3x18 Swarovski, 7.4 lbs, kicks like a mule, doesn't shoot well anything heavy, that I've tried, too light I feel for the recoil level,
Few others, under 7 lbs, Sako 6 ppc, Cooper 6x47 Remington, CZ 427 in 6.5 G, nice little carry rifles, but all lack the flexibility of the 6.5 creed and 7x57.
There's a bit of a balance between weight, length, recoil, And task.

Kimber Adirondack, was still minus a sling and cartridges in the scan shot but, one gets the gist of it. Took me a while to sort that rifle but it was worth it.....

2020-made CZ527 Carbine in 7.62x39 weighs 5.95lbs unscoped.
2014-made Brno Effect break action in 308 weighs 5.97lbs unscoped
No Kimbers here. Very happy with above. The CZ527 will serve as my shorter range stalker while the Brno Effect serves as my multi-range stalker. I have a scope set-up with my Brno which brings it to 7.4ish pounds. I prefer the irons for both.

I had a lightened up T3 6.5 swede, barrel cut to 19” and fluted, bedded in a wildcat stock with a flip flop pad, topped with a z3 3-9x36 in talleys. 6 1/2 lbs loaded ready to hunt. My lady has taken this rifle over though as her mountain rifle.

My current build in progress, is a defiance anti with a #1 benchmark @ 22”, chambered in 6.5 prc and set in a AGC privateer. Still figuring out a scope, but looking at the nxs 2.5-10 compact. If it’s 6lbs finished and shoots like our tikka, I’ll be happy.

Tikka T3X Cerastrat in 6.5cm with NEAR Mount, and Leupold FX-ll ultralight 2.5x is 7lbs even. Should weigh 6.5lbs based off manufacturer specs so someone is lying.

Here are the 3 lightest rifles I have at present.
