So how did it feel/function for you while shooting?

I did have a T81 folder before, liked it but found I don't stand much shooting, just pondering this configuration for the T81 as I shoot mostly prone, and looks like it is 20mm longer than an SKS. As well curious if the stock is attached more robustly than the SR?

If you want one buy one, overall build and fitment is superior to the rifles. I have the SR LMG fixed and folder.

I have a LMG,didnt shoot it much but i like it alot. Honestly,no complains about the quality and function. LMG shoot good,feeding and ejection are flawless.
As for the stock, the LMG buttstock is more sturdy where it attach to the receiver,wont fell apart. Somes are complaining that the LMG is too heavy but what did they expect? Ofc a 20 inch heavy barrel with a bipods will add more weight,its the way it is and for myself,weight isnt an issue at all. I like more the LMG than my T-81 rifle.

If i could, i would get another LMG since they are back in stock but i want to save to get the SR model when next shipment come in,even if the SR have design flaw with the buttstock,the fix is easy from what i read here. If you want an LMG,get it while you can.
 
if you are looking for an LMG style firearm what other options are there? I don't like the sights and find field stripping a pain. Sure its heavy but isn't that the point?
 
I liked the LMG once the bipod and barrel clutter was removed.... but then again by that point u essentially have a differently dressed SR with a buttstock that doesnt crack off and a carry handle that creates mixed feelings.
 
Probably the best chicom rifle that TI sells. Very robust. Really cool with a drum mag (that only holds 5 rounds). Completely unsuited for run and gun action games but sure to bring a smile to someone's face when shooting. 4 moa with 5 rounds of milsurp ammo.
It's not an SKS but that's kinda the point.

I haven't tried the fixed stock in comparison but I really like the buttstock on the lmg for use with the stock sights. good cheek weld for me. Im a fan of the stock sights as they feel like a semi peep for my older eyes. LMG is super solid and not too bad for toting around after the handle and bipod are removed. Its the most versatile of the offerings they have imh.

With the bipod removed the LMG is no longer an LMG but becomes an overly long and heavy ..... rifle. If you want a rifle, then just buy a rifle?

That slightly longer, more front heavy rifle is assembled better, has the nicer blued finish, smoother recoil, threaded muzzle, longer sight radius, better accuracy, is more stable offhand and has a more comfortable fixed stock.

For your uses the LMG would be an excellent choice. It's not that heavy if you shoot milsurps. The P14 makes a K98 feel like a lightweight carbine, the LMG weight just doesn't hurt my feelings. Recoil is very soft as far as X39 goes. The LMG has a lower comb that makes for a very comfy cheek weld and sight alignment. The fixed T81SA/SE stock requires dropping your cheek infront of the comb. The sight radius is great (for this type of rifle) and the toolkit is extensive. Sight adjustments are simple and easy with the included tools. Fit and finish is excellent, reliability is solid and the trigger is actually great for this type of rifle. For bench and prone shooting you'll love the LMG.
