1201FP: I had one for a while. It was a beautifully put together shotgun, the build quality was truly fantastic. The operation was very smooth, but the recoil action and light weight definitely resulted in more perceived recoil than other semis. IMO, it kicked about the same as a Winchester Defender or 18" 870.
It was perfectly reliable with all types & lengths of shells as long as it was properly mounted. I would get the occasional stovepipe/FTF when shooting from the hip though. I assume that was because the recoil system required the gun to be firmly planted in order fully cycle.
All in all, it was a great gun, but I still prefer the 870.
