So What Production Combat/Tactical Shotgun Do Like ???
I'm looking to getting a combat/tactical/defence shotgun.
I was thinking about these but I would like some input.

You forgot my absolute favourite...Benelli M4!!!!

Here's mine :D

I like what you be packin' 8)
But on a student budget of 1200$ tops with accessories... that's way out of my league :(
Do you have a pic of your Fabarm and some feedback on it would be greatly appreciated :D

I hear you...heck that Mad Dog Panther was more than that (never mind the Benelli)

Thanks for the compliment :)

I have tons of pics (and vids) of the Fabarm and the Benelli...people always ask me about the Fabarm...it certainly does have a lot of LCF (looks cool factor) but if I had to do it all over again, I probably would get something else (in fact I do intend to trade it in for a Scattergun Technologies one of these days).

Having played with about every shotgun out there in almost every imaginable configuration, my vote is for a plain-jane remington 870: either the marine magnum or an 870 police with a two round magazine extension. About the only modification I insist on is a shortened stock for a shorter LOP.

What's most important? TONS of practice! Spend the rest of your budget on ammo and range time.

Good luck...

of you could call up TSE and order a new one just like it (fabarm) =)

for the price i guess its hard to beat the 870, but the benelli has such a sweet silky smooth action its hard not to like....

C'mon people, aren't there any more replies out there concerning combat shotties ?
What! you rather defend yourself with a butter knife, a big pink dildo even?
Let's hear what you all like to keep "handy" in the 12ga category.

beretta 1201 fp. Very similar to benelli super 90. cheaper to

and not a prohib! It's my understanding that they are the same as the M1 (both are spring recoil)...I've always wanted to try one!

where can I get one???

Dunno..they are quite rare...I have never seen one in the steel...

note that the spring recoil system is supposed to kick a bit more than a gas operated semi...still very cool though!

1201FP: I had one for a while. It was a beautifully put together shotgun, the build quality was truly fantastic. The operation was very smooth, but the recoil action and light weight definitely resulted in more perceived recoil than other semis. IMO, it kicked about the same as a Winchester Defender or 18" 870.

It was perfectly reliable with all types & lengths of shells as long as it was properly mounted. I would get the occasional stovepipe/FTF when shooting from the hip though. I assume that was because the recoil system required the gun to be firmly planted in order fully cycle.

All in all, it was a great gun, but I still prefer the 870.
