So what purchases are on the agenda for 2010? :)

Purchase list:
-Shooting jacket and shooting glove for APRA sanctioned TR events
-20 MOA bases for the target rifle, to at least carry out load development
-Perhaps an F-class rifle, probably in a flat shooting, non-magnum chambering/with dies & bipod

Work forecast is looking good, but i also have a child due in May, so we shall see. Probably pretty reserved, as far as i go, but i do have a couple ideas arguing for top spot when it comes to builds. Either a remington based 6.5-06 or a ruger based 458 Win Mag (perhaps 375/338) with a handy length barrel. Likely an impulse buy or three as well.:D

OK so far this has all changed.
Purchased the following so far;
Browning M-1000 Eclipse 300WSM
Bushnell Elite 6500 4.3-30x50
Ruger Mini-14 Target .223
Leupold 3.5-10x40
Swarvoski 8x30 Rangefinder

Still want;
Been checking out the Benelli and Beretta shotguns... One of them is going to follow me home sometime soon.
Kimber but have to get the CUSTOM CDP II .45 ACP as the PRO is 4" and therefore prohibited.
Think I might seriously look at the Glock 32 .357 SIG
The .357 Mag revolver is bottom of the list.

KIMBER PRO CDP II .45 ACP
S&W .357 Magnum
22-250 Haven't decided on make and model yet
.300 Win Mag same story as above
12 Gauge
Glock 19

Time to treat myself to some NEW gear, I've been a good boy but apparently Santa didn't get my list...;)

For some reason .243 win is peeking my interest, perhaps a single shot rifle in that caliber might follow me home one day. :)

I now have 2 of the three guns ordered that I mentioned in my previous post on page 5. A Ruger 77/17 and a Cooper Varminter laminate in 6mm Rem. Now if I have a good summer and my wife doesn't find out about these 2 new guns for a year or so I might just have that Sako 85 Grey Wolf in 22-250 yet this year.

As bad as it sounds, I don't think I'll be making a firearm purchase this year. I've done the long range thing, big bore thing, I have a target pistol, finding a good shot gun was last year, done with my search for .22s and I have my hunting dog that I've been waiting 5 years to get... so I think I'll try something completely different.

Archery. This is one thing that I have never done in my life so I think it's about time to get started. This is the perfect time of the year since last year's stock is now on sale. Looking at a Martin Cheetah as my first bow. Unexplored territory is always the most exciting. I know absolutely nothing about archery and I love to learn new things, so I'm very excited.

I'll be purchasing a rimfire. I don't really know what kind yet. Probably a Marlin or Ruger 22 auto loader, I would love a Marliin 39A if they weren't going for such ridiculous prices.

Hopefully the tax man is good to me this year. If so I will be looking to get a 700P in 300Rum :D and a couple of nice leupolds to sit atop my new 22-250 VSSF and one for the potential 300RUM.

Oh yeah, and I am looking for my first pistol, probably in a 1911 of some variety

Well, bought my first firearm, Glock 22, in September. Received my first rifle (Norc SKS) today, bought last week.

Also have a deposit down on a 590A1...then either a 1911 or into the AR game...

If I can get me a job back in Canada, I'll be re-united with my guns and the last year of plans can become reality. I'll need:
- a 20'' barrel for my savage 99 .358 (don't worry - new barrel, won't cut the original)
- a .260 - current plan is to build from a stevens, but I'm still toying wit the idea of building form a savage custom sporter action
- ruger mark III
