My statement was my reasoning as to why I (Me, Myself, Moi) would not buy one. Because I dont need one to survive and i dont want to (and cant) spend that kind of scratch on a gun. Because for me that is a good percentage of my income and would need a stronger reason to justify that amount of money. For others that percentage would be less and for them a higher end ar would likely be justifiable based on what they earn.

Im not saying that guys who do think of themselves as uber mall ninjas. They're just guys who have the money to spend on something they enjoy. If you've got the cash i definitely say go for it. I love seeing these high end rifles at teh range. I just know i'll likely never one as i cant afford them. If i got a huge raise or won the lottery, well tehn that might change things

As another point, I do find that the less experienced shooters will usually pick the first thing that comes along and then defend it to the death when someone says it's junk.

Just because it fires when you pull the trigger and you've put a couple thousand rounds through it on the range, does not make it quality. That just means the manufacturer isn't so incompetent and they can build a rifle that functions. After you have owned and built a bunch of ARs and shot tens of thousands of rounds through different types, you will understand why some get called junk while others enjoy the quality reputations that they have earned.

I bought a Norinco. Infact i own 3 of them. I would donate money to the cause, but im just to "retarded" to comprehend how to send a EMT to a Mod according to Leibermuster. Anyways i will get my wife to show me how to do one after she gets home from working the streets. That is assuming im done giving shooting sports a bad name and killing people on the streets with my Norinco AR by the time she gets home.

I would never buy a Norinco but I am sure glad they are out there and encouraging more people to buy into our sport.

The norc ran all day. Even the Knights went down. I dont think anyone would say that the Knights is sub par because of it. But that day the cheapest AR on the market outlived the best in the market.

I would be curious to know if it was basically an "off-the-shelf" Norc or had extensive modifications.

After all of this I have one question.

What is the definition of a cheap AR? (price range)

500$-1000$?
1000$-1500$?

I was looking at a bush master for approx 1500$ , there's a couple of guys that say it is cheap and others think it's expensif. So i'm guessing if I buy one of these mid ranged priced rifles I shouldn't get flammed right? Since I fit neither the poor or rich criteria.

I think I was there that day, and I believe the Norc was off-the-shelf. I was impressed with the Norc, so much so I got a used one since to play with.
But btw, I must say I now confidently blame the new LAR mags for the FTF my LMT experienced that day.
My LMT gets along well with my Norc, no failures on either one.
I now want a shorty NEA, I am sure all 3 will live well together.
