What's a .260 EDGE? I've heard of a .338 EDGE for ultra-long range shooting, but I've never heard of a .260 EDGE before.

Got picked for a moose here in NS...It's just like winnin the lottery ....sooner have 649 tho ...gonna be taking my 300WSM..65 gr of IMR 4350...180 gr Nosler...CT Silvertip/ Accubond/Partition.....I wanted to use my old 270 Stainless Browning (80's) that I gave to my son when he turned of age and let him use the WSM...Un Uh...no wayyyy hosee...... NO siree Bob!!!!...He's gonna use that one himself. That's the one he started with and it's never taken a moose...sooooo...got some 140 gr FailSafes I been saving for a few years for JUST this occasion for him/us....if they don't pan out...54.2 gr of IMR 4350 with a 140-150 Accobond/partition...that's the Fav load for the old girl.

My 13 yr old girl is buggin me to go as well....she just passed her PAL course(last week) Hunters Ed 27th and 28th of this month...she's pretty adamant bout it too...
...shhhhhh..On the QT....think I'll let her miss a week of...cough...hack..gag...school ...no doubt she'll hate that.... but...a Dads gotta put his foot down sometimes...riiight??

7.62x54r Either my 91/59 carbine in Ati stock or my Finnish M39 for Iron Sight work. For long range I will be using a Winchester Ranger 30-06 with scope.

8.25 pound 338-06, 24 inch Gaillard barrel on a trued 700 action, 2 pound trigger, 3.5 x 10 Boone and Crockett in dual dovetail mounts with a refinished factory 700 laminated stock, decelerator pad, Defensive Edge bolt knob. 3 position safety, Kwik-Klip conversion installed.

Haven't decided yet. I'm just finishing up a 7mm Magnum project on a model 70, I'll probably pack that. Although, I am considering packing my BRNO 602 378 wby, or maybe a 500S&W handi-rifle. Most likely, I'll be out a few times, so I may get a chance to pack them all throughout the season
